Steven leads the firm’s Projects Unit and specialises in advising procuring authorities and consortia on Public Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in Scotland and England. Steven has strong experience in the energy, health and education sectors and expertise in construction, engineering and infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.
Steven was the lead adviser on Hairmyres and Stonehouse Hospitals NHS Trust’s new £65m District General Hospital, the first major NHS Private Finance Initiative project in Scotland to reach financial close, and continues to advise the NHS on a variety of projects.
More recently, he has advised companies in the renewable energy business, particularly in the emerging wave power sector.
