Collaborating to Win Tenders

There are many reasons for businesses and companies to collaborate with others. Achieving economies of scale, accessing new markets and improving your company’s chances of winning work are just some of these. Sharing the risk and costs associated with a new business venture or new contract by collaborating with another party can be an important part of developing and growing your business when times are tough.

We are running a series of workshops across Scotland on Collaborative Working in association with the Supplier Development Programme. The ‘Let’s Work Together’ workshops explore the key benefits of joining forces with another company to maximise your chances of winning public sector tenders and also considers the potential pitfalls. Topics covered include the legal framework of collaborations, preparing and presenting a collaborative bid, employment law considerations and collaborating with the public sector. The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) was established in 2006. It is now a well established business growth initiative which delivers a range of specialist business support activities with the aim of assisting businesses to become more capable of accessing and competing for public sector contracts. For more information on the services and support offered by the SDP, please visit their website on www.sdpscotland.co.uk.
